Anil–Babu
Anil and Babu were a director duo. Anil and Babu both individually directed two films before they directed several films together from 1992 to 2004. They worked together for most of their career. While Anil directed nine films after 2004 Babu only directed one. Babu died in 2019. ''Ingane Oru Nilapakshi'' () is a 2000 Indian Malayalam-language romantic drama film directed by Anil–Babu and starring Kunchako Boban, Sneha (actress), Sneha (credited as Manasi), Sangeetha Krish, Sangeetha (credited as Rasika) and Sujitha. The film was a box office failure. This film is recognized for being Sneha's debut film. Cast Production Dubai-based Sneha (actress), Sneha (known at the time as Suhasini), aged nineteen, was spotted by Fazil (director), Fazil who recommended her to Anil–Babu who were looking for an actress to play the role of an aspiring dancer. She was renamed Manasi since there was already an actress named Suhasini Maniratnam, Suhasini. Sneha received offers to work in Tamil and Telugu-language films before she had finished the shoot of this film. ''Pattabhishekam'' () is a 1999 Indian Malayalam-language comedy film directed by Anil–Babu and starring Jayaram, Mohini, Harisree Ashokan and Jagathy Sreekumar. An elephant from Mangalamkunnu played the role of Lakshmikutti in the film. The film was a superhit at the box office success and became popular. Anil (director)
Anil (born 3 May 1963) is an Indian film maker who works in Malayalam Cinema. He has been active in the Malayalam film industry from 1989. He directed 31 films in Malayalam language, together with Babu Narayanan under the name Anil–Babu. Personal life Anil married national award-winning actress Kalpana in 1998 and later divorced in 2012. Their only daughter Sreemayi lived with Kalpana, until Kalpana's death on 25 January 2016.
