Anděl (neighborhood)
Anděl is a neighbourhood in Prague 5's central district of Smíchov, centered on a busy interchange. The name means 'angel' in Czech and originates from the 19th century ''U zlatého anděla'' (Golden Angel) pub originally named after a fresco in the gable depicting an angel. The painting of an angel was preserved after its demolition and is now displayed nearby the metro station entrance. Anděl is an important traffic center. Prague Metro's Line B runs beneath it, Anděl Station serving the area. Tramway lines in north–south and east–west direction cross there (lines 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 14 and 20). Otherwise, it is a pedestrian zone. Golden Angel
The Golden Angel ''(Czech: Zlatý Anděl)'' is an administrative complex situated in Prague. The designer was French architect Jean Nouvel. The structure is located in the immediate vicinity of The Angel Crossroad (Křižovatka Anděl) which was named after The Golden Angel's Pharmacy (Lékárna U Zlatého Anděla). The pharmacy as well as its symbol - a gilded statue of an angel - was demolished in 1980 to make a room for new subway station. Origin Nouvel started The Golden Angel project in 1994. The construction was launched five years later and the complex was completed in November 2000. The exclusive investor of the building is the ING Real Estate company. Smíchov Synagogue
The Smíchov Synagogue () is a former Reform Jewish congregation and synagogue, located at Stroupežnického 32, Smíchov, in Prague, in the Czech Republic. Completed in 1863, the former synagogue was remodelled in 1931 in the Functionalist style. After the World War II, the building was used for secular purposes because the Smíchov Jewish community ceased to exist in the Shoah. Since 1998, the building has been used as an archive of the Jewish Museum in Prague. In 1990, the building was listed as a National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic. A multiplex is a movie theater complex with multiple screens or auditoriums within a single complex. They are usually housed in a specially designed building. Nový Smíchov
Nový Smíchov is a shopping mall located west of the centre of Prague in the Czech Republic. It opened in 2001. The mall has a retail area of . It is one of the biggest shopping centres in the Czech Republic. History The centre was developed by French firm Delcis, in an area previously described as "bleak and unpromising." Jean Nouvel
Jean Nouvel (; born 12 August 1945) is a French architect. Nouvel studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was a founding member of ''Mars 1976'' and ''Syndicat de l'Architecture'', France’s first labor union for architects.
