Andy Ludwig
Andy Ludwig (born May 14, 1964) is an American football coach who was most recently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at the University of Utah. He played college football at Snow College and Portland State University, graduating in 1988. Coaching career From 1987 to 1988, Ludwig was the receivers coach at Portland State. From 1989–1991, Ludwig was the quarterback and receiver coach at Idaho State. In 1992, Ludwig came to Utah to be the graduate assistant for the defense. From 1993 to 1994, Ludwig was the as the offensive coordinator at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. 1995 to 1996, he was the quarterback coach at Boise State University. The California Golden Bears football program represents the University of California, Berkeley, in college football as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference at the NCAA Division I FBS level. The 2009 Allstate Sugar Bowl was the 75th annual edition of the annual college football bowl game that is part of the 2008–09 bowl season of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS) 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The game was played on Friday, January 2, 2009, at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana between the Utah Utes, champions of the Mountain West Conference, and the Alabama Crimson Tide, representing the Southeastern Conference. The Sugar Bowl usually takes the champion of the SEC and pits them against an At-Large BCS team. Kyle Whittingham
Kyle David Whittingham (born November 21, 1959) is an American college football coach and former player. He currently serves as the head football coach at the University of Utah, a position he has held since 2005, and he is the all-time leader in wins for the Utah Utes. Prior to becoming the head coach at Utah, Whittingham served as Utes defensive coordinator for ten seasons. He won AFCA Coach of the Year and the Paul "Bear" Bryant Award in 2008 after leading the 2008 Utah Utes football team to an undefeated season and a win in the 2009 Sugar Bowl over the 2008 Alabama Crimson Tide football team. He and Oklahoma State's Mike Gundy are the second longest tenured FBS coaches (with one school), trailing only Kirk Ferentz. Broyles Award
The Broyles Award is an annual award given to honor the best assistant coach in college football. First awarded in 1996, it was named after former University of Arkansas men's athletic director Frank Broyles. The award is presented in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Downtown Rotary Club. To date 18 of the 23 winners have gone on to become head football coaches. Award Every year, roughly 1,300 assistant coaches representing all 130 FBS programs are eligible for nomination by their peers as well as Selection Committeecomposed of former head coaches.
