André Renato Soares Martins (born 21 January 1990) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder. Brought up at Sporting CP, where he made 103 total appearances, he won the Super League Greece at Olympiacos and two Ekstraklasa titles for Legia Warsaw. Club career Sporting CP After graduating from Sporting CP's youth academy Martins was loaned out, along with six other former club juniors, to Real S.C. in the third division. For 2010–11, newly appointed coach Paulo Sérgio called him back for pre-season trainings, and, in August, he was sent to C.F. Os Belenenses in the Segunda Liga, in a season-long loan. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. José Albano Ferreira da Mota (born 25 February 1964) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played mainly as a right-back, currently manager of Primeira Liga club AVS. He spent most of his playing career with Paços de Ferreira, where he also began working as a coach and won two Segunda Liga titles. In two decades as a manager, he led eight teams in the Primeira Liga, and won the Taça de Portugal for Aves in 2018.
