André Martin (physicist)
André Jean Martin (20 September 1929 in Paris – 11 November 2020 in Geneva) was a French particle physicist who worked at CNRS and CERN. Biography After studying at the École normale supérieure (class of 1949), he began his career as a CNRS researcher under the direction of Maurice Lévy at the physics laboratory of the École Normale. He joined CERN in 1959 as a fellow in the Theory Division and became a permanent theoretical physicist in 1964. In 1958 he helped found the Institut d'Études Scientifiques de Cargèse (Corsica). In 1959 he married Alice-Anne Schubert, known as Schu, who died in 2016, and had two sons, Philippe and Thierry. In 1994, he received the status of Physicist Emeritus, a status which has been renewed to this day. André Martin had scientific contacts all over the world: Europe, Asia, North America. André Martin-Legeay
André Martin-Legeay (29 October 1906 – 1940) was a French male tennis player who was active in the 1930s. In 1933, he was a runner-up in the singles' event at the Italian Championships. Martin-Legeay reached the fourth round of the singles' event of the French Championships in 1935 and 1936, losing to Vivian McGrath and first-seeded Fred Perry respectively. At the Wimbledon Championships in 1936 he also made it to the fourth round, in which he was defeated in straight sets by seventh-seeded Bunny Austin Henry Wilfred "Bunny" Austin (26 August 1906 – 26 August 2000) was an English tennis player. Andrés San Martín
Andrés San Martín (born 12 April 1978 in Lomas de Zamora, Buenos Aires) is an Argentine former footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career San Martín began his career in 1997 at second division club Club Atlético Banfield. Two years later, he moved to the top flight with Unión de Santa Fe. Meanwhile, his former team had won promotion to that level and, in 2002, the player rejoined Banfield. In 2005, San Martín left Banfield for Club Atlético River Plate at the Estadio Monumental. After one season, he was loaned out to Spanish club CD Tenerife, in ''Segunda División'', with the Canary Islands team having an option to buy at the season's closure. However, in December 2006, he was released, returning to his country, still on loan, with Arsenal de Sarandí.
