André Lagache
André Ernest Paul Lagache (21 January 1885 – 2 October 1938) was a French auto racing, racing driver who, along with René Léonard, won the inaugural 24 Hours of Le Mans in . Career Lagache and Léonard were engineers at automobile manufacturer Chenard-Walcker, Chenard et Walcker, and were chosen to drive their "Sport" model in the inaugural 24 Hours of Le Mans. The duo drove a distance of over 24 hours and beat another Chenard-Walcker by a four lap margin. Lagache continued to run Le Mans for Chenard et Walcker for the next two years, but was unable to finish the event again. Lagache also raced a Chenard-Walcker in the inaugural Spa 24 Hours in 1924, finishing second alongside André Pisart. He returned with Léonard to win the event in 1925, and finished third with Léonard in 1926. Lagache won the in 1925 and 1926. John Duff
John Francis Duff (January 17, 1895 – January 8, 1958) was a Canadian racing driver. He is best known for winning the 1924 24 Hours of Le Mans. Early life Duff was born in Jiujiang, China, to Canadian parents from Hamilton, Ontario, who had established a commercial outpost in nearby Guling. Duff was sent beck to Hamilton for schooling, living there until he was 16. He returned to China after his schooling. Upon the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, Duff traveled across Russia to England, where he joined the army. Gravely wounded at the Third Battle of Ypres, Duff was sent to a hospital in England where he met and married his nurse. In 1919, John Duff learned how to drive a car and became a dealer.
