André Gusperti
André Gusperti (born 14 October 1973) is an Italian former swimmer. He was a world class butterfly swimmer during the 1990s. Biography He began swimming in ''Rari Nantes Trento'' and later joined ''Fiamme Gialle'' (the Athletic Team of Guardia di Finanza). During the nineties Gusperti competed in several international events. He swam in the winning 4 × 100 m medley relay at the 1997 Mediterranean Games ( Merisi, Fioravanti, A. Gusperti, Rosolino). He participated to the world swimming championship in Perth 1998. He is the brother of René Gusperti René ("Spillo") Gusperti (born 18 March 1971) is an Italian former swimmer. Schlanders
Schlanders (; ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) and a village in South Tyrol in northern Italy, located about west of the city of Bolzano. Overview Schlanders borders the following municipalities: Latsch, Laas, Mals, Martell, Schnals. Schlanders is well known for its church tower, high, which is also the highest in South Tyrol. Another attraction is the renovated castle, which now serves as a civic hall (including a public library). The locality was mentioned for the first time officially on 13 June 1077 in a deed of donation, where the Holy Roman Emperor Henry IV. handed over the town to Altwin, the Bishop of Brixen. René Gusperti
René ("Spillo") Gusperti (born 18 March 1971) is an Italian former swimmer. He was a world class freestyle sprinter during the 1990s and unchallenged Italian Champion in the same years. Biography Gusperti was born in Schlanders/Silandro. He began swimming in ''Rari Nantes Trento'', there he met his long-lasting coach Walter Bolognani, current head-coach of the Italian Junior National Team. He later joined ''Fiamme Gialle'' (the Athletic Team of Guardia di Finanza) and won his first Italian Championship in 1991, from then on ten years of nearly uninterrupted victories follows. During the nineties Gusperti competed in all the major international events, including 1992 and 1996 Summer Olympics. In 2005 he joined ''CSI Trento Nuoto'' where he still swim -as of 2007- and coaches. He is the brother of André Gusperti, another renowned former Italian swimmer.
