André Claro
André Filipe Claro de Jesus (born 31 March 1991), known as Claro, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward for SC São João de Ver. Club career Born in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto District, Claro arrived in FC Porto's youth system in 2004, aged 13. He went on to progress through every youth rank at the club, being occasionally summoned to the first team for training. Released by the ''Dragons'' in the summer of 2010, Claro signed for F.C. Famalicão in the fourth division, scoring 14 goals in 32 matches in his first season which ended in promotion to the third tier. He added ten in 30 the following campaign. Claro joined F.C. Arouca of the Segunda Liga for 2012–13, scoring in only his second game in the competition, a 3–0 away win against F.C. Penafiel on 22 August 2012. Vila Nova De Gaia
Vila Nova de Gaia (; ), or simply Gaia, is a city and a municipality in Porto District in Norte Region, Portugal, Norte Region, Portugal. It is located south of the city of Porto on the other side of the Douro River. The city proper had a population of 178,255 in 2001. ''Observador'' is a Portuguese online newspaper started on May 19, 2014. It is the only Portuguese-language newspaper in Portugal with a defined political orientation ( right-wing liberalism). It is an online newspaper with no printed edition, with the exception of the Anniversary and Lifestyle editions. Observador commits itself to publish and update information on a 24/7 basis. In the first month, it reported 630,000 visitors. By August 2015, it reported six million visitors and 35 million pageviews. Rádio Renascença, also known as RR or just 'Renascença' (), is a private, commercial radio station in Portugal, owned by various organizations within the Portuguese Catholic Church: among others, the Patriarchate of Lisbon. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The Primeira Liga (), also known as Liga Portugal Betclic for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Portugal and the highest level of the Portuguese football league system. Organised and supervised by the Liga Portugal, it has been contested by 18 teams since the 2014–15 season, with the three lowest-placed teams relegated to the Liga Portugal 2 and replaced by the top-three non-reserve teams from this division. 2012–13 Segunda Liga
The 2012–13 Segunda Liga was the 23rd season of the second-tier of football in Portugal. This season marked a series of changes in the league overall. The league's name was changed back to Segunda Liga from the previous Liga de Honra. A total of 22 teams contested the league, up from 16 in the previous season; 14 of which contested the 2011–12 season, two of which were promoted from the Portuguese Second Division (including a reserve team), one of which was relegated from the 2011–12 Primeira Liga, and five of which were new reserve teams of Primeira Liga clubs. The reserve teams were not eligible for promotion to the Primeira Liga. Events União de Leiria were relegated to the second division due to not fulfilling the mandatory requirements by the Portuguese League for Professional Football regarding the application process to professional competitions.
