Andreas Baader
Berndt Andreas Baader (6 May 1943 – 18 October 1977) was a West German communist and leader of the far-left terrorist organization Red Army Faction (RAF), also commonly known as the Baader-Meinhof Group. Life Andreas Baader was born in Munich on 6 May 1943. He was the only child of historian and archivist Berndt Phillipp Baader and Anneliese Hermine "Nina" (Kröcher). Andreas was raised by his mother, aunt, and grandmother. Phillipp Baader served in the Wehrmacht, was captured on the Russian Front in 1945, and never returned. Baader was a high school dropout and a bohemian before his involvement in the Red Army Faction. He was one of the few members of the RAF who did not attend university. At the age of 20, Baader moved from Munich to West Berlin, allegedly to do an artistic education. He worked as a construction worker and unsuccessfully as a tabloid journalist. Driving
Driving is the controlled operation and movement of a land vehicle, including cars, motorcycles, trucks, and buses. Ingrid Schubert
Ingrid Schubert (7 November 1944 – 12 November 1977) was a West Germany, West German left-wing militant and founding member of the terrorist organisation Red Army Faction (RAF). She participated in the freeing of Andreas Baader from prison in May 1970 as well as several bank robberies before her arrest in October 1970. She was found dead in her cell in 1977. Life Schubert participated with Ulrike Meinhof and Irene Goergens in the freeing of Andreas Baader from prison in May 1970. In the summer of 1970, she travelled with roughly twenty other RAF members to Jordan to undergo military training with the Palestinian militant group Fatah. Irene Goergens
Irene Goergens (born 29 April 1951) is a former member of the West German terrorist group, the Red Army Faction (RAF). In March 1971 she was sentenced to years in prison for her role in the prison escape of Andreas Baader in May 1970. Life Irene Goergens was born to an American G.I. and a German woman out of wedlock. She grew up in Eichenhof Youth Custody Home in Berlin. At this home she met Ulrike Meinhof, who interviewed her during the production of her film ''Bambule''; one of the characters of the film is called Irene. Later, Goergens looked after Meinhof's daughters as a nanny. In 1970 Goergens joined the Baader-Meinhof-Gruppe, which carried out terrorist attacks from 1971 as the Rote Armee Fraktion (known in English as the Red Army Faction). Ulrike Meinhof
Ulrike Marie Meinhof (7 October 1934 – 9 May 1976) was a German left-wing militant, journalist and founding member of the Red Army Faction (RAF) in West Germany, commonly referred to in the press as the "Baader-Meinhof gang". She is the reputed author of ''The Urban Guerilla Concept'' (1971). The manifesto acknowledges the RAF's "roots in the history of the student movement"; condemns "reformism" as "a brake on the anti-capitalist struggle"; and invokes Mao Zedong to define "armed struggle" as "the highest form of Marxism-Leninism". Meinhof, who took part in the RAF's "May Offensive" in 1972, was arrested that June and spent the rest of her life in custody, largely isolated from outside contact.
