Andrea Petkovic
Andrea Petkovic (, ; born 9 September 1987) is a German former professional tennis player. Born in Tuzla, SFR Yugoslavia, to Serbian father Zoran and Bosniak mother Amira, she moved to Germany at six months old and turned professional in 2006 at the age of 18. A former top-10 player, Petkovic reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 9 on 10 October 2011, becoming the first German female player ranked inside the top 10 since Steffi Graf in 1999. That year, she played in the quarterfinals of three Grand Slam tournaments as well as a Premier Mandatory final at the China Open, and qualified as an alternate to the WTA Tour Championships. Petkovic suffered three separate injuries in 2012: a back injury in January, an ankle injury in August and a knee injury in December that kept her out for nine months, and almost saw her fall out of the top 200. 2019 French Open
The 2019 French Open was a Grand Slam (tennis), major tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France, from 26 May to 9 June, comprising singles, doubles and mixed doubles play. Junior and wheelchair tournaments were also scheduled. Rafael Nadal was the two-time defending champion in men's singles and won his record 12th French Open singles title. Simona Halep was the defending champion in women's singles, but lost in the quarterfinals; the title was won by Ashleigh Barty. 2016 US Open – Women's Doubles
Martina Hingis and Sania Mirza were the defending champions, but chose not to participate together. Mirza teamed up with Barbora Strýcová, but lost in the quarterfinals to Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic. Hingis played alongside CoCo Vandeweghe, but lost in the semifinals to Garcia and Mladenovic. The 2011 WTA Tour Championships (also known for sponsorship reasons as the 2011 TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships) was a tennis tournament played at Istanbul, Turkey from October 25 to October 30, 2011. It was the first time Turkey hosted the WTA Tour Championships. It was the 41st edition of the singles event and the 36th edition of the doubles competition. The Grand Slam in tennis is the achievement of winning all four major championships in one discipline in a calendar year. In doubles, a Grand Slam may be achieved as a team or as an individual with different partners. Zoran Petković ( sr-cyr, Зоран Петковић) is a Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia-born tennis coach and former professional Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP player who competed for Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Yugoslavia. He is an ethnic Serbs, Serb. Career Petković won a doubles silver medal at the 1979 Mediterranean Games partnering with Zoltan Ilin. Melanie Oudin and Jack Sock were the defending champions, but were defeated by Sania Mirza and Colin Fleming in the second round.
