Andrea Montesinos Cantú
Andrea Montesinos Cantú (born October 4, 2002) is a Mexican figure skater. She is a two-time Mexican national champion (2019, 2023) has competed in the final segment at two ISU Championships. Career Early years Montesinos Cantú began learning to skate as a five-year-old in Mexico before relocating to the United States. Competing in the advanced novice category, she won silver at the 2014 Santa Claus Cup in Hungary. 2016–2017 season In September, making her junior international debut, Montesinos Cantú placed 9th at the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) in Yokohama, Japan. In March, she qualified to the final segment at the 2017 World Junior Championships in Taipei, Taiwan. She ranked twenty-fourth in the short program, seventeenth in the free skate, and nineteenth overall. 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held March 15–19, 2017 in Taipei, Taiwan. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Pair champions Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya / Harley Windsor became the first skaters representing Australia to win gold at an ISU Figure Skating Championships. 2019 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships
The 2019 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships were held on February 7–10, 2019 in Anaheim, California, United States. Held annually since 1999, the competition featured skaters from the Americas, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 figure skating season, 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four (Single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15.
