André Strappe
André Louis Strappe (23 February 1928 – 10 February 2006) was a French professional footballer who played as a forward, and later served as a manager. Club career Strappe was a player for Lille, Le Havre, and Nantes, and then a player-manager for Bastia, Tavaux-Damparis, and Châteauroux. He scored 112 goals in the French Division 1 and won the league tournament in 1953–54 with Lille. He also won the Coupe de France in 1953 and 1955 with Lille, and again with Le Havre in 1959. International career He also played 23 matches and scored 4 goals for France. He participated at the 1948 Summer Olympics and in the 1954 FIFA World Cup in Switzerland. Bully-les-Mines () is a Communes of France, commune in the Pas-de-Calais Departments of France, département in northern France. It forms part of the Communauté d'agglomération de Lens – Liévin, Lens-Liévin agglomeration community, which encompasses 36 French communes and 250,000 inhabitants. Ligue 1 (; ), officially known as Ligue 1 McDonald's for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in France and the highest level of the French football league system. Administered by the Ligue de Football Professionnel, Ligue 1 is contested by 18 clubs and operates on a system of promotion and relegation from and to Ligue 2. Seasons run from August to May. Clubs play two matches against each of the other teams in the league – one home and one away – totalling to 34 matches over the course of the season. Most games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, with a few games played during weekday evenings.
