Anders Töpel
(Per-Inge) Anders Töpel (16 January 1947 – 10 April 2014) was a Swedish guitarist, best known for being the lead guitarist of the Swedish rock group Tages. Early life Töpel was born in Gothenburg, Sweden. He befriended Tommy Blom as a child. Töpel received his first acoustic guitar while in his early teens. He graduated from school in June 1965, while his career in Tages was in full action. Tages Töpel formed Tages together with his friend Tommy Blom during the summer of 1963 when they performed with acoustic guitars during a regatta in Hovås, south of Gothenburg. Because of popular reception, the duo quickly recruited guitarist Danne Larsson and Göran Lagerberg on washboard (later bass guitar) while starting to play skiffle together. After recruiting drummer Freddie Skantze to the line-up, the band quickly turned electrical and started performing in the style of the Beatles. Air Defence Regiment (Sweden)
The Air Defence Regiment (, Lv 6), is the only anti-aircraft regiment in the Swedish Armed Forces. Its new organisation was introduced in 2000, when all other anti-aircraft units in Sweden were disbanded. The regiment is located in Halmstad and has the responsibility for training two air defence battalions and one home guard battalion. Tages were a Swedish rock band from Gothenburg formed in 1963 by vocalist Tommy Blom, rhythm guitarist Danne Larsson, lead guitarist Anders Töpel, bass guitarist Göran Lagerberg and drummer Freddie Skantze. During their seven year tenure, they released six studio albums, three compilation albums, five extended plays and 26 singles in Sweden. Between November 1964 and April 1968, Tages were considered one of the four most popular bands in Sweden, with 13 of their singles reaching the top 10 of the national record chart ''Tio i Topp'' including two number one singles. The band also released a string of commercially successful studio albums, with two of them, ''Tages'' (1965) and ''Tages 2'' (1966), selling over 10,000 copies each in Sweden, enough for them to be certified gold.
