Anchor Records
Anchor Records was a UK-based record label, co-founded by Ian Ralfini and the American Broadcasting Companies, which owned ABC Records in the United States, in 1974. ABC Records marketed (distributed) Anchor albums in the US, and Anchor Records issued many ABC albums in the United Kingdom as "ABC Records Marketed by Anchor Records." The Anchor Records label was black with silver print. The logo, at the top of the label, was a British sailor with an anchor behind him and the words "ANCHOR RECORDS LIMITED" above the sailor's hat and the word ANCHOR below. Anchor ceased operations in 1978, when ABC Records was purchased by MCA Records. American Broadcasting Companies (originally United Paramount Theatres, and American Broadcasting-Paramount Theatres, Inc.) was the post-merger parent company of the American Broadcasting Company and United Paramount Theatres. CADO BELLE
Cado Belle were a Scottish rock group prominent in the pub rock scene of the mid-1970s, and are notable for making the first recordings featuring singer Maggie Reilly who went on to have success with Mike Oldfield and as a solo artist. Band member Colin Tully achieved some fame with the soundtrack of the critically acclaimed film '' Gregory's Girl''. Their genre has also been described as Scottish soul. Origins In Glasgow, singer Maggie Reilly met Stuart MacKillop who asked her to join his band Joe Cool. In October 1974 the band merged with another called Up, forming ''Cado Belle''. The Amazing Rhythm Aces is an American country rock group, which has characterized its music as " American music" or " roots music"—a blend of rock, country, blues, R&B, folk, reggae, and Latino. Joseph Fidler Walsh (born Joseph Woodward Fidler; November 20, 1947) is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Best known as a member of the rock band Eagles (band), Eagles, his five-decade career includes solo work and stints in other bands: James Gang, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, and New Zealand's Herbs (band), Herbs. George Hamilton IV
George Hege Hamilton IV (July 19, 1937 – September 17, 2014) was an American country musician. He began performing in the late 1950s as a teen idol, switching to country music in the early 1960s. Biography Hamilton was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States, on July 19, 1937, the son of Moravian Church, Moravian parents George Hege Hamilton III and Mary Lilian (née Pendry). He was introduced to country music by his paternal grandfather, a railroad worker. John Weider
John Weider (21 April 1947 – 6 November 2023) was an English rock music, rock musician who played guitar, bass guitar, bass, and violin. He is best remembered as the guitarist for the Animals from 1966 to 1968. He was also the bass player for Family (band), Family from 1969 to 1971. Biography Early career As a teenager, Weider initially joined the Steve Laine Combo. The Combo played R&B at places such as The Flamingo Club in Soho with the likes of Georgie Fame. Weider left Steve Laine when that group went to Europe to become the Liverpool Five. Later he played alongside Steve Marriott in a band called Steve Marriott and the Moments. ''Welcome to My Nightmare'' is the debut solo and overall eighth studio album by American rock musician Alice Cooper, released on March 11, 1975 by Atlantic Records. A concept album, its songs played in sequence form a journey through the nightmares of a child named Steven. The album inspired the '' Alice Cooper: The Nightmare'' TV special, a worldwide concert tour, and his '' Welcome to My Nightmare'' concert film (1976).
