Ana Bešlić
Ana Bešlić (; 16 March 1912, Šarapusta near Bajmok – 27 February 2008, Belgrade) was a Serbian sculptor. Biography She was born in a Sárapuszta (modern-day Šarapusta) near the Bačkan town of Bajmok, between Sombor and Subotica, at that time in Bács-Bodrog County, Kingdom of Hungary (1867-1918), Kingdom of Hungary, Austria-Hungary to a family of Bunjevci, Bunjevac origins. Ana Bešlić was one of the most important representatives of modern sculpture in Yugoslavia and Serbia. By genre, she belonged to the group of artists that, since the 1950s, became recognisable by their artistic curiosity and non-mainstream approach, being the pioneers of changing of sculptor's style in Yugoslavia. Still, her creations were mostly oriented towards the making of monuments. Bajmok
Bajmok ( sr-Cyrl, Бајмок; , ) is a village located in the municipality of Subotica, in the North Bačka District, Vojvodina, Serbia. The village is ethnically mixed and its population numbered 7,414 inhabitants as of 2011 census. Name In Serbian Cyrillic the village is known as Бајмок, in Serbian Latin as ''Bajmok'', in Hungarian as ''Bajmok'', in Bunjevac as ''Bajmok'' or ''Bajmak'', in Croatian as ''Bajmak'' (since 2009) or ''Bajmok'' (before 2009), and in German as ''Nagelsdorf''. History The first written documents relating to Bajmok came from the fifteenth century. Then the village was for the first time officially mentioned as a village. Rajko Ljubić is a Serbian film director from Subotica. He mostly makes documentary film, documentaries and short movies that deal with the life of the Bunjevci and Šokci Slavic groups from Bačka. Podravka d.d. is a Croatian food company based in Koprivnica. Founded in 1934, today it is one of the largest food companies in Southeast Europe. History 1934–1990 The brothers Marijan and Matija Wolf founded the company on 14 June 1934. At the time, the firm was a fruit factory. When the Communism, communists under Josip Broz Tito, Tito took power in 1947 the company was Nationalization, nationalized and received its current name. In 1949, Podravka started producing fruit jam. Palić
Palić ( sr-Cyrl, Палић; ; ) is a town located in the city of Subotica, North Bačka District, autonomous province of Vojvodina, Serbia. It is also located from the border between Serbia and Hungary. The town has a Hungarian ethnic majority and its population numbering 5,476 inhabitants (as of 2022 census). Many tourists come to Palić every year because of the Palić lake and spa.
