Amélie Cordeau
Amélie Cordeau (born 1 October 2005) is a French archer who was part of French teams that won the team recurve events at the 2024 European Archery Championships and the 2021 World Archery Youth Championships. She competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Career Cordeau started archery at the age of four. Cordeau was part of the French team that won the women's team recurve cadet event at the 2021 World Archery Youth Championships. She won the individual women's recurve event at the 2022 European Under-18 Archery Championships, and in the same year she became French national champion in the same event. Cordeau started competing at senior level for France in 2023. Cordeau was part of the French team alongside Lisa Barbelin and Caroline Lopez that won the team recurve event at the 2024 European Archery Championships. Megan Havers (born 2 December 2007) is a British archer competing in women's recurve events. She competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Early life From Leicester, England, she tried archery for the first time on a family holiday. She attended South Charnwood High School in Markfield, England. She received her GCSE results on 22 August 2024 a couple of weeks after competing at the Olympic Games and passed all her exams, apart from PE. Career She won a bronze medal in the mixed team category at the 2023 European Youth Cup in Switzerland. Alongside Bryony Pitman and Penny Healey, she won a silver team medal at the European Grand Prix in June 2024. World Archery (WA, formerly ''Fédération Internationale de Tir à l'Arc'' (FITA)) is the governing body of the sport of archery. It is based in Lausanne, Switzerland. It is composed of 156 national federations and other archery associations, and is recognised by the International Olympic Committee. Lisa Barbelin (born 10 April 2000) is a French archer, who won the recurve events at the 2021 European Archery Championships, and 2022 European Indoor Archery Championships. She has previously won multiple medals at the World Youth Archery Championships, and won bronze medals in events at the 2019 and 2022 Archery World Cups. In June 2021 she was the world's number one ranked competitor. Barbelin competed in the women’s individual event at the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games, winning the bronze medal in the latter.
