''Amor gitano'' (English: ''Gypsy love'') is a Mexican telenovela produced by Pedro Damián for Televisa in 1999. Is adapted the 1983 Argentinian telenovela ''Amor gitano'' original story by Delia González Márquez and the 1969 Puerto Rican telenovela ''La mujer de aquella noche'' original story by Olga Ruilopez. On Monday, May 3, 1999, Canal de las Estrellas started broadcasting ''Amor gitano'' weekdays at 7:00pm, replacing ''Soñadoras''. The last episode was broadcast on Friday, July 16, 1999 with ''Alma rebelde'' replacing it the following Monday. It starred Alejandro Camacho, Mariana Seoane, Mauricio Islas and Nailea Norvind. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Manuel Ojeda
Manuel Salvador Ojeda Armenta (4 November 1940 – 11 August 2022) was a Mexican actor. Ojeda was one of the most active actors of television and cinema in Mexico. He played the villain, Zolo, in the Hollywood film ''Romancing the Stone''. Career Manuel Salvador Ojeda Armenta was born in La Paz, Baja California Sur. He studied acting at the Instituto de Bellas Artes ("Institute of Fine Arts") and started his career in theatre. He obtained roles in his first film in his mid-thirties and later participated in the first of his dozens of telenovelas with Televisa two years later. In 1979, he appeared in his first English-language production, the 1979 Martin Sheen film ''Eagle's Wing''. He also took the role of Jimmy in ''P.D. The 18th TVyNovelas Awards were an academy of special awards to the best soap operas and TV shows. The awards ceremony took place on May 30, 2000 in Mexico D.F. Nuria Bages ( born Nuria Bages Romo on December 23, 1950) is a Mexican actress better known for her work in television and the stage. Anna Serhiivna Layevska (; born January 10, 1984), known as Ana Layevska, is a Ukrainians, Ukrainian-Mexicans, Mexican actress and singer. Early life Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Ana is the only child of violinist Serhii Laievskyi and actress Inna Rastsvetaeva.
