Ameris Bank Amphitheatre
The Ameris Bank Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Amphitheatre) is a contemporary amphitheatre, located in the northern Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta, Georgia, United States. The amphitheatre mainly hosts shows by popular music artists, comedians and themed symphony concerts by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the latter opened the venue with a performance on May 10, 2008. The venue opened as Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park in 2008. In January 2017, it became known as Verizon Amphitheatre. In December 2018, the venue’s naming rights were purchased by Ameris Bank. Alpharetta, Georgia
Alpharetta is a city in northern Fulton County, Georgia, United States, and part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. As of the 2020 U.S. census, Alpharetta's population was 65,818; in 2010, the population had been 57,551. History In the 1830s, the Cherokee people in Georgia and elsewhere in the South were forcibly relocated to the Indian Territory (present-day Oklahoma) under the Indian Removal Act. Pioneers and farmers later settled on the newly vacated land, situated along a former Cherokee trail stretching from the North Georgia mountains to the Chattahoochee River. Angel Deradoorian (born July 18, 1986), also known mononymously as Deradoorian, is a musician based in Los Angeles, California. She is best known for her work with Dirty Projectors as full-time member from 2007 to 2012. She left to pursue a solo career. Bradford James Cox (born May 15, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter and musician, best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the indie rock band Deerhunter.
