Amateur Try-Out
The following are the types of hockey contracts that players may be signed to when they play professional ice hockey. NHL contracts Two-way contract A two-way contract is a professional sports contract which stipulates that an athlete's salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. One-way contract A one-way contract means that the player is paid the same amount of money regardless of whether he plays in the National Hockey League (NHL) or American Hockey League (AHL). Standard player contract AHL/ECHL This is what a player signs to lay out the terms of their playing status and salary. This is not transferable to the NHL and would require the player to sign a new contract with the NHL team. Professional tryout A Professional tryout (PTO) contract exists in the AHL and NHL. Antoine Bibeau
Antoine Bibeau (born May 1, 1994) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for KooKoo in the Liiga. Bibeau was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the sixth round, 172nd overall, of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Junior As a youth, Bibeau played in the 2006 and 2007 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with the Victoriaville Tigres minor ice hockey team. Bibeau played in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2011 to 2014. He played with the Charlottetown Islanders until his final year of major junior hockey when he was traded to the Val-d'Or Foreurs. He went on to capture the 2014 President's Cup with the Foreurs and was recognized for his outstanding play when he was awarded the Guy Lafleur Trophy as the QMJHL Playoffs Most Valuable Player. Collin Delia
Collin Delia (born June 20, 1994) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He previously played in the NHL for the Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets. Playing career Delia grew up playing youth hockey in Southern California before moving to the Amarillo Bulls of the North American Hockey League (NAHL). In 2013, Delia committed to play Division 1 collegiate hockey with Merrimack College of the Hockey East. Anton Forsberg
Anton Forsberg (born 27 November 1992) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the seventh round (188th overall) of the 2011 NHL entry draft.
