Vikram Amar
Vikram David Amar (born February 15, 1963) is an American legal scholar focusing on constitutional law, federal courts, and civil and criminal procedure. In August 2015, he became dean of the University of Illinois College of Law and the Iwan Foundation Professor of Law. He returned to the University of California, Davis School of Law as a Distinguished Professor of Law in 2023. Biography Amar received an A.B. in history from UC Berkeley. In 1988, he earned his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he served as an articles editor for the ''Yale Law Journal''. Prior to his arrival at Illinois Law, Amar was professor and senior associate dean for academic affairs at the UC Davis School of Law (King Hall). Before becoming a professor, he clerked for Judge William Albert Norris of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for Justice Harry Blackmun at the U.S. Supreme Court. ''Mohra'' () is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film co-written, edited and directed by Rajiv Rai and produced by his father Gulshan Rai. It stars Naseeruddin Shah, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Poonam Jhawer, Raza Murad, Paresh Rawal, Gulshan Grover, and Sadashiv Amrapurkar. The film was also the first collaboration between the trio of Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal, who went on to collaborate several times later on. Originally, Divya Bharti was cast as the female lead but she died very early in the production. Portugal was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "", written by José da Ponte, Alexandre Honrado, and Ernesto Leite, and performed by the duo 2B. The Portuguese participating broadcaster, (RTP), internally selected its entry for the contest. 2B and "Amar" were announced as on 22 March 2005, and the song was presented to the public on 1 April 2005. Portugal competed in the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 19 May 2005. ''Amar'' is the debut studio album by American rapper BigXthaPlug, released on February 10, 2023 through UnitedMasters. Named after the rapper's son, it debuted at No. 4 on ''Billboard'''s Heatseekers charts. It was preceded by the singles "Rap Niggas", "Safehouse", "I Know", "Texas" and "Primetime". The album features guest appearances from Ro$ama, Sauce Walka, Tay Money and Erica Banks, while the production is handled by Tony Coles, BandPlay and among other producers. ''Amar'' is a 2019 Indian Kannada romantic action film directed by Nagashekar and produced by Sandesh Nagaraj under Sandesh Productions banner. The film stars Abhishek Ambareesh, son of veteran actor Ambareesh, making his acting debut and Tanya Hope in the lead roles.
