Amanda Jenssen
Jenny Amanda Katarina Jenssen (born 12 September 1988) is a Swedish singer and songwriter who first rose to prominence as the Swedish ''Idol 2007'' runner-up. Her first album, '' Killing My Darlings'' (2008), became one of that year's best-selling albums in Sweden, peaking at number 1 on the Swedish album chart. She also had success with her music singles, with seven individual placements on the Swedish singles chart. In November 2012, she released the album '' Hymns for the Haunted'', which reached certified gold status in Sweden. In 2015 released her first Swedish-language album, ''Sånger från ön'' (English: ''Songs from the Island''). Early life Jenssen was born in Lund, Sweden in 1988. She expressed interest in music at a young age, and as a teenager was the lead vocalist in the bands ''Oh Hollie Neverdays'' and ''Amanda and the Papas'' which did covers of classic songs. The fourth season of ''Swedish Idol'' premiered on September 3, 2007, and continued until its grand finale on 7 December, when 28-year-old Marie Picasso was crowned winner. It was the first season to feature an all-female finale, and is to date the only season to crown a winner who had previously fallen into the 'bottom three' during the finals, with Picasso landing there twice. It was the first season to hold its grand finale at the Globen Arena in Stockholm, and to date holds the record for the largest live audience at an ''Idol'' final anywhere in the world, with a crowd of 16,000 people. The finale also featured a live performance by Kelly Clarkson. Fred Vincent Pontare (born 13 May 1980) is a Swedish songwriter, producer, and singer. He is also known by the mononym Vincent. He regularly collaborates with Salem Al Fakir as songwriting, producer, and duo Vargas & Lagola. Soft Cell are an English synth-pop duo who came to prominence in the early 1980s. The duo consists of vocalist Marc Almond and instrumentalist David Ball (electronic musician), David Ball. The band are primarily known for their 1981 hit version of "Tainted Love" and their platinum-selling debut album ''Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret''. "Tainted Love" is a song composed by Ed Cobb, formerly of American group the Four Preps, which was originally recorded by Gloria Jones in 1964. In 1981, the song attained worldwide fame after being covered and reworked by British synth-pop duo Soft Cell for their album '' Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret''. The song has since been covered by numerous groups and artists. Gloria Jones versions American artist Gloria Jones made the first recording of "Tainted Love" in 1964.
