Amado García Guerrero
Amado García Guerrero (June 2, 1931 – June 2, 1961) was one of the conspirators against, and killers of, Dominican dictator Rafael Trujillo, Rafael Leónidas Trujillo. Assassination of Rafael Trujillo He was a soldier in the Dominican Republic. A member of the Military Aide-de-camp, Aides-de-Camp of Rafael Leonidas Trujillo, he was the person who informed the other conspirators that Trujillo would later leave that night for San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic, San Cristóbal. He also was one of the assassins in the ambush on the highway. The story of the revolutionaries and their personal motivations for participating in the assassination of Trujillo, serves to writers as Mario Vargas Llosa, as examples of the experiences with atrocities of the general population suffered during the Trujillo's regime. The Servicio de Inteligencia Militar (SIM) (English: Military Intelligence Service) was the main secret police force and death squad during the later part of the dictatorship of Rafael Trujillo to keep control within the Dominican Republic. Operation Around 1957 the Department of State for Security, headed by General Arturo Espaillat was dissolved, replaced by SIM and its sister agency, the Servicio Central de Inteligencia (SCI). Under the leadership of Johnny Abbes García, SIM employed thousands of people and was involved in immigration, passports, censorship, supervision of aliens, and undercover work. At the Palace of Communications some fifty people intercepted and recorded domestic and foreign phone conversations. Major general, Major General Antonio Cosme Imbert Barrera (December 3, 1920 – May 31, 2016) was a Dominican Officer (armed forces), military officer and the 44th List of Presidents of the Dominican Republic, President of the Dominican Republic from May to August 1965. Imbert, who plotted to assassinate dictator Rafael Trujillo in 1961, was one of the two rival rulers in the Dominican Republic from May 7, 1965, until August 30, 1965, amid the Dominican Civil War.
