Alyssa Eroa
Alyssa Eroa (born September 6, 1996) is a Filipino volleyball player and currently playing for the Marikina Lady Shoemasters in the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA). Career Indoor Eroa play for the Lady Stags of the San Sebastian College-Recoletos in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). She ended her stint with San Sebastian last playing for them in Season 93. Beach Eroa also played in the Beach Volleyball for the Lady Stags together with her beach volley partner, Gretchel Soltones from NCAA Season 90–92. In the departure of Soltones in the NCAA, Dangie Encarnacion became her beach volley partner for her last playing year in Season 93. 2023 MPVA Season
The 2023 MPVA season was the inaugural season of the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association. The preliminary round began on October 22, 2023 and ended on November 30, 2023. The playoffs then began December 2, 2023 and ended on December 21, 2023. The tournament features eight teams across the country. The opening ceremony took place at Ynares Center in Antipolo, Rizal with a doubleheader featuring the Caloocan AM Spikers and Negros–ICC Blue Hawks in the first match, followed by the San Juan Lady Knights and Rizal Golden Coolers in the second match. The Bacoor City Strikers won the league's inaugural championship, after defeating the Negros–ICC Blue Hawks in three matches in the Finals. PLDT High Speed Hitters
The PLDT High Speed Hitters (formerly the Smart Giga Hitters and the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters) is the professional women's volleyball team owned by PLDT. History The team debuted in 2018 as the Smart Prepaid Giga Hitters. The team was owned by Smart Communications. For the 2018 PSL Invitational Cup, the team partnered with the Philippine Army Lady Troopers and competed as the Smart–Army Giga Hitters. In September 2018, the PayMaya High Flyers, their affiliate team in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), was merged with the team. In February 2019, the Smart Prepaid Giga Hitters changed its name to the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters. The team transferred to the PVL in February 2021, following the league's professionalization. The team changed their name to the High Speed Hitters in January 2022, in a lead up to the upcoming PVL season.
