Alpine is an unincorporated community and former census-designated place in the North Slope Borough of the U.S. state of Alaska. The population was 0 at the 2000 United States Census, but it was not included in the 2010 census. Alpine is the site of a major oil drilling and production operation operated by ConocoPhillips. Most employees, staffed primarily by commuter residents of Nuiqsut, work a two-week on and two week off work schedule. Geography Alpine is located at . Deadhorse Airport is a public airport located in Deadhorse on the North Slope of Alaska. It can be accessed from Fairbanks via the Elliott and Dalton highways. Nuiqsut ( ik, Nuiqsat, ) is a city in North Slope Borough, Alaska, United States. The population was 433 at the 2000 census and 402 as of the 2010 census.
