Alpha (Jelena Karleuša Album)
''Alpha'' (also referred to as ''Alfa'', stylized in all caps) is the eleventh studio album by the Serbia, Serbian singer Jelena Karleuša, released on August 13, 2023 by JK Entertainment and distributed by Virgin Music. This is Karleuša's first studio album after 11 years since the release of her previous album Diva (Jelena Karleuša album), ''Diva'' in 2012. Background Karleuša released her previous studio album ''Diva'' in 2012. The following year, she released the single "Ferrari" together with Teča and Nesh, and also held her second major solo concert Viva La Diva, which was met with a barrage of criticism. Another song, allegedly titled "Welcome to Belgrade" and featuring Teča and Nesh, was supposed to be released before the concert. During a 2014 guest appearance on Prva TV show ''Exkluziv'', a new single was announced and a short snippet was played. Jelena Karleuša
Jelena Karleuša ( sr-Cyrl, Јелена Карлеуша; born 17 August 1978) is a Serbian singer and media personality. Born and raised in Belgrade, she began her music career by releasing her debut album ''Ogledalce'' (1995) at the age of 16. Karleuša has so far released twelve studio albums and has held two major solo concerts in Belgrade: All About Diva Show at the Belgrade Arena (2010) and Viva La Diva Show at Ušće Park (2013). Additionally, she also served as a judge on the singing competition '' Zvezde Granda'' between 2015 and 2021. '' Focus'' and '' W'' have described Karleuša as the "Lady Gaga of Serbia" and "Madonna of the Balkans", respectively. Her public perception and popularity have significantly been influenced by her controversial and often scrutinized public persona and work, as well as by her outspoken sociopolitical views and frequent disputes with other public figures.
