Alper Düzen
Alper is a male Turkish given name. It is composed of the two words ''alp'' and ''er''. In Turkish, "Alp" means "Stouthearted", "Brave", "Chivalrous", "Daredevil", and/or "Valorous". The second, ''er'' means soldier or male. Additionally ''Alper'' is used as an adjective for an ancient legendary Turkish commander; Alp Er Tunga who lived around 300 B.C. It's meant to be a good hearted one too. From the same Asian cultural roots, Alper is closely related to the name 勇士 (Japanese ''yuushi'', Chinese ''yǒngshì'') derived 勇 =Alp and 士 =Er words. A Turkish name consists of an ''ad'' or an ''isim'' (given name; plural ''adlar'' and ''isimler'') and a ''soyadı'' or ''soyisim'' (surname). Turkish names exist in a "full name" format. Alper Uçar
Alper Uçar (born 19 January 1985) is a Turkish former competitive ice dancer. With his skating partner, Alisa Agafonova, he competed at two Winter Olympics (2014 and 2018) and won eight international medals, including silver at the 2011 Winter Universiade and three medals on the ISU Challenger Series. They skated in the final segment at six European Championships and four World Championships. Earlier in his career, Uçar competed in single skating. He is the 2005 Turkish national champion and a four-time junior national champion. Career Early years Uçar started skating in 1997, after the first ice rink opened in Ankara, Turkey. Özcan Alper
Özcan Alper (born 1975) is a Turkish film director and screenwriter of Hemshin peoples, Hemshin descent. He studied at Trabzon Lisesi. In 1992, he moved to Istanbul to study at Istanbul University Engineering Faculty in the Physics Department and then moved to Istanbul University Literature Faculty where he studied History of Sciences and graduated in 2003. Since 1996, he was interested in films and took part in workshops organized by Mezopotamya Culture Center, the Nâzım Culture House (now renamed Nâzım Hikmet Culture Center). Martin Alper (1942 – June 7, 2015) was a video game designer and the former President of Virgin Interactive, once one of the largest companies in the field. Alper was a co-founder of Mastertronic, which went on to become Virgin Interactive following its acquisition by Richard Branson. Jonathan L. Alper (September 14, 1950 – December 3, 1990) was an American actor and theatre director. He graduated from Amherst College in 1971. He made his acting debut in '' The Madness of God'' in 1974. Alper served as literary manager for the Folger Theatre from 1975 through 1978.
