Alonso Hernández
Joaquín Alonso Hernández García (born March 1, 1994) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward for Guanacasteca. Club career Hernandez began his youth career in the city of El Paso, Texas. His rising talent increased his chances of professional football, so he relocated to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico to pursue this goal, where he made his start in the Indios youth system. Hernandez moved up the ranks at Indios and made two brief appearances with the first team in the Liga de Ascenso during the 2010–11 season. In December 2011, however, Indios was disbanded, and Hernandez, out of a club, found a home with C.F. Monterrey, where he joined the Rayados' U-17 team. Hernandez moved up to Monterrey's U-20 team for his first full season with the club. On April 19, 2013, he was called up to the first team and made his Liga MX debut. United States Men's National Under-23 Soccer Team
The United States U-23 men's national soccer team, also known as the United States men's Olympic soccer team, is a youth soccer team operated under the auspices of U.S. Soccer. Its primary role is qualification into and competition at the quadrennial Olympic Football Tournament, with the next one to be held during the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, which the team has already qualified for as hosts. Its most recent major tournament was the 2024 edition at the Paris Olympics, in which the team made it to the quarter-finals before being eliminated by Morocco. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX, also known as Ascenso BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, was a professional association football league in Mexico and the second level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Primera División A de México (1994–2009) and also as Liga de Ascenso (2009–2012). The champions of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top level), and the bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (third level). In 2012, the league rebranded its name and competition format as Ascenso MX, the major changes (clubs do not need a FMF certification to be promoted and that the competition no longer used group stages).
