Alison Humby
Alison Humby (born 7 December 1972) is a retired English badminton player. Humby is a three time English junior champion, two-time medalist at the European junior championships and winner of several international tournaments in Netherlands, Hungary, Ireland and the EBU circuit in 1992/93. She chose to retire at the age of 23, ending her twelve year badminton career. Irish Open (badminton)
The Irish International or Irish Open in badminton is an international open held in Ireland since 1902 and is thereby one of the oldest badminton tournaments in the world. It was however interrupted by the two World Wars. This tournament is currently a part of the European Badminton Circuit and takes place at the end of November every year as part of the home nations loop of international tournaments that include the Scottish Open and the Welsh Open in consecutive weeks. The tournament for most part and in recent years has been an International Challenge rated event. The recent exception was in 2012, 2017 & 2018 when the tournament was downgraded to International Series due to funding. Julie Bradbury
Julie Jane Bradbury (born 12 February 1967) is a former English badminton player who represented Great Britain at the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games. She was part of the national mixed team that won the gold medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, also captured the silver medals in the mixed and women's doubles events. Along with those sporting achievements she is only the second person to hold all five titles in all three disciplines of badminton (singles, doubles, and mixed) at the English National Championships.
