Aliovsat Guliyev
Aliovsat Najafgulu oglu Guliyev ( az, Əliövsət Nəcəfqulu oğlu Quliyev; 23 August 1922 – 06 November 1969) was an Azerbaijani historian. Amongst his many accreditations, he was a holder of a PhD in history, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences, head of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan SSR (1952 – 1958 and 1967 – 1969) and an honored member of the Czechoslovakia-USSR Friendship Society. Education Aliovsat Najafgulu oglu Guliyev was born in the village of Kyzylagach, located in the region of Salyan District, Azerbaijan. In 1930, he attended the village school in Kyzylagach. Prokofy "Alyosha" Aprasionovich Dzhaparidze or Japaridze, ( ka, პროკოფი აპრასიონის ძე ჯაფარიძე, russian: Прокофий Апрасионович Джапаридзе; 15 January 1880 – 20 September 1918), was a Georgian revolutionary activist, one of the Red Army and Bolshevik Party leaders in Azerbaijan during the Russian Revolution. Dzhaparidze, an ethnic Georgian joined to Bolsheviks in 1898 where he earned the nickname ''Alyosha'' (''Alesha''), then moved to Baku. Helping the founding of the Azerbaijani socialist party Hummet, he became Delegate of the Caucasian Union of the RSDLP at the 3rd Congress of the RSDLP in London. Alisohbat Sumbat oglu Sumbatzade (8 January 1907, Əmircan, Baku, Amirjan, Baku – 28 January 1992, Baku) was a Soviet Azerbaijani people, Azerbaijani historian and Oriental studies, orientalist (member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijani SSR from 1958). Sumbatzade graduated from the Department of Oriental Studies of Azerbaijan State University in 1929. Elmira Akhundova (born 26 May 1953) is an Azerbaijani writer, publicist and politician. She has been a member of the Association of Azerbaijani Writers since 1983. She was elected to parliament in 2005. Early life and education Akhundova was born on 26 May 1953 in the Ramensk district of Moscow.
