"Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves" () is a folk tale in Arabic added to the ''One Thousand and One Nights'' in the 18th century by its French translator Antoine Galland, who heard it from Syrian storyteller Hanna Diyab. As one of the most popular ''Arabian Nights'' tales, it has been widely retold and performed in many media across the world, especially for children (for whom the more violent aspects of the story are often removed). In the original version, Ali Baba () is a poor woodcutter and an honest person who discovers the secret treasure of a thieves' den, and enters with the magic phrase " open sesame". The thieves try to kill Ali Baba, and his rich and greedy brother Cassim tries to steal the treasure for himself, but Ali Baba’s faithful slave-girl foils their plots. Ali Baba is a term describing business practices in Malaysia and Indonesia involving indigenous and non-indigenous cooperation to take advantage of affirmative action provisions favouring indigenous Malays or Native Indonesians. Arteen Ekizian (September 28, 1901 – November 16, 1981), better known by the ring name Ali Baba, was an Armenian American professional wrestler and World Heavyweight Champion who was active in the early portion of the twentieth century. Early life Ekizian was born in Samsun, Ottoman Empire. he escaped and moved to the United States in 1920 with help from his uncle Garabed in Massachusetts. He died on 8 August 2016 due to heart attack in his home Karachi. Early life Ali Baba's actual name was Ali Muhammad and he was born to Muhammed Ramzan Rind at Kotri, Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan in 1940. His parents migrated from Balochistan to Sehwan Sharif Sindh. Afterward they made Kotri as permanent residence. He got primary education from Nango line primary school Kotri and matriculation from Sher Dil Khan Municipal High school Kotri. Ali Baba Taj () is an Urdu, Dari and Hazaragi poet, based in Quetta, Pakistan. He is known for his use of nazm style in Urdu poetry. He received his master's degree in Persian language and literature from the University of Balochistan, Quetta, in 2003.
