Popular Alliance () was a political coalition of two of the oldest and historically recognized political parties in Peru, the Peruvian Aprista Party (PAP), led by former President Alan García, and the Christian People's Party (PPC), led by Lourdes Flores. The alliance was made by mutual agreement by both leaders with the objective of leading García for a third non-consecutive presidential term in the 2016 general election. The third member of the coalition was the minor political party Let's Go Peru (VP), led by Mayor of Callao Juan Sotomayor. The Popular Alliance (, AP) was a Liberalism, liberal-centrist political party in San Marino. The party formed a coalition with the Union for the Republic (San Marino), Union for the Republic for the 2016 Sammarinese general election, and following their electoral success the two parties created a new party, Future Republic. History AP was born as an anti-establishment party in 1993, in parallel with the rise of Lega Nord in Italy, of which it has been long considered the Sanmarinese counterpart, but has since then become a stable political force in San Marino, participating in government coalitions with the centrist Sammarinese Christian Democratic Party (PDCS), as well as with the centre-left Party of Socialists and Democrats (PSD) since 2002. Instead of the Monument to the Warrior of Legnano, AP has the Statua della Libertà as their symbol. The Popular Alliance () was a political alliance in San Marino. History The alliance was formed by the Sammarinese Christian Democratic Party (PDCS), the Sammarinese Democratic Socialist Party (PSDS) and some independents, and was opposed by the Committee of Freedom, an alliance of the Sammarinese Socialist Party (PSS) and the Sammarinese Communist Party (PCS). It won 20 of the 60 seats in the Grand and General Council in the 1945 elections. The 1949 elections saw it increase its representation to 25 seats. The 1951 elections saw it win 26 seats. The People's Alliance (, AP) was a post- Francoist electoral coalition, and later a conservative political party in Spain, founded in 1976 as a federation of political associations. Transformed into a party in 1977 and led by Manuel Fraga, it became the main conservative party in Spain. It was refounded as the People's Party in 1989.
