Algo Habrán Hecho Por La Historia Argentina
''Algo habrán hecho (por la historia argentina)'' (in Spanish, "''They must have done something (for the history of Argentina)'') is a documentary film for television that narrates the history of Argentina. It was created by the Argentine historian Felipe Pigna, who acted as presenter. In the first two seasons Mario Pergolini was a co-presenter of it, but after giving up on all works on television his role in the documentary was taken by Juan Di Natale. Di Natale and Pergolini were by that time co-presenters (as well as Eduardo de la Puente) of the talk show Caiga quien caiga. Di Natale pointed that he was not meant to act as if he was Pergolini, but the script writers wrote instead the scripts based on his own personality. Battle Of Caseros
The Battle of Caseros (; ) was fought near the town of El Palomar, Argentina, on 3 February 1852, between forces of the Argentine Confederation, commanded by Juan Manuel de Rosas, and a coalition consisting of the Argentine provinces of Entre Ríos and Corrientes, the Empire of Brazil, and Uruguay. The allied forces, known as the Grand Army (''Ejército Grande''), defeated Rosas, who fled to the United Kingdom. This defeat marked a sharp division in the history of Argentina. 1944 San Juan Earthquake
The 1944 San Juan earthquake took place on 15 January in the province of San Juan, in the center-west area of Argentina, a region highly prone to seismic events. This moderate to strong earthquake (estimated moment magnitudes range from 6.7 to 7.8) destroyed a large part of San Juan, the provincial capital, and killed 10,000 of its inhabitants, 10 percent of its population at the time. One third of the province population became homeless. It is acknowledged as the worst natural disaster in Argentine history. The earthquake occurred at 8:52 pm on 15 January 1944 and had its epicenter 30 km north of the provincial capital, near La Laja in Albardón Department.
