Alfonso Quiñónez Molina
Alfonso Quiñónez Molina (11 January 1874 – 22 May 1950) was a Salvadoran politician and physician who served as President of El Salvador on three occasions during the 1910s and 1920s. Between his presidencies, he also served as Vice President of El Salvador on two occasions under his brothers-in-law Carlos Meléndez (politician), Carlos and Jorge Meléndez. The presidencies of Quiñónez and his brothers-in-law from 1913 to 1927 are collectively known as the Meléndez–Quiñónez dynasty. Early life Alfonso Quiñónez Molina was born on 11 January 1874 in Suchitoto, El Salvador. His parents were Lucio Quiñónez and Aurelia Molina de Quiñónez. Quiñónez studied medicine at the Liceo San Luis in Santa Tecla, El Salvador, Santa Tecla. He then studied at the University of El Salvador and earned his Doctorate of Medicine in surgery in 1898. Santa Tecla () is a city and a municipality in the La Libertad Department (El Salvador), La Libertad department of El Salvador. It is the capital of the department of La Libertad. The city was named after Thecla, Saint Thecla who was a saint of the early Christian Church, and a reported follower of Paul of Tarsus in the 1st century AD. Samuel Luna
Samuel is a figure who, in the narratives of the Hebrew Bible, plays a key role in the transition from the biblical judges to the United Kingdom of Israel under Saul, and again in the monarchy's transition from Saul to David. Manuel Enrique Araujo
Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor Manuel Enrique Araujo (12 October 1865 – 9 February 1913) was a Salvadoran politician and physician who served as President of El Salvador from 1 March 1911 until his death on 9 February 1913 to his injuries sustained in an assassination attempt five days prior. Araujo is the only Salvadoran president to have been assassinated while in office. Araujo studied medicine at the University of El Salvador and in Europe.
