Khalid Bin Faisal Al Saud
Khalid bin Faisal Al Saud ( ''Khālid bin Fayṣal Āl Suʿūd''; born 24 February 1940), commonly known as Khalid Al-Faisal, is a Saudi Arabian politician, artist, and poet who is the governor of Makkah Province, in office from 2007 to 2013 and again since 2015. He was the Saudi minister of education from 2013 to 2015. He was also the governor of Asir Province from 1971 to 2007. He served as an adviser to King Salman. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Hayaza() is a Saudi chemist and politician, who has been the president of Alfaisal University since 1 March 2015. During his term as president, Alfaisal University has risen from one of the Top 800 (2017) to one of the Top 300 (2020) universities in the world according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, though the university has faced criticism for its claims of being the best University in the Arab world and in Saudi Arabia. Al-Ma'dhar Palace (), also known as King Faisal Palace (), is a historic palace in the al-Ma'dhar neighborhood of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, located within the precincts of Alfaisal University. Built in 1952 by Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the palace has received several foreign dignitaries and head of states around the 1970s besides being a witness to various matters involving Saudi Arabia at bilateral and regional levels such as the al-Wadiah War of 1969 and the 1973 Arab-Israeli War.
