''Alexisonfire'' is the debut studio album from Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire, released on October 31, 2002. Release ''Alexisonfire'' was released on October 31, 2002. The cover art was photographed by lead singer George Pettit at Ferndale Public School in St. Catharines, Ontario. It is based on the lyrics from "A Dagger Through the Heart of St. Angeles". There was also an alternative cover art released, which just depicts the band's logo and name. In June 2003, the band embarked on short tour of Canada with From Autumn to Ashes, A Static Lullaby, and Boys Night Out. The following month, the band performed at Hellfest. In September and October, the band went on a tour of Canada with Billy Talent, Spitalfield and Death from Above. Following this, the band played with Spitalfield on their tour of the US. Dallas Green (musician)
Dallas Michael John Albert Green (born September 29, 1980) is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter and record producer who records under the name City and Colour. He is also known for his contributions as a singer, rhythm guitarist, songwriter and co-founder of the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. In 2005, he debuted his first full-length album, ''Sometimes'', which achieved platinum certification in 2006. City and Colour began performing in small intimate venues between Alexisonfire tours. The name ''City and Colour'' comes from his own name: ''Dallas'', a city, and ''Green'', a colour. Wade Gordon MacNeil (born May 5, 1984) is a Canadian musician, songwriter, composer, and former radio personality. He is best known as one of the guitarists and vocalists of the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. He has also provided guitars and vocals to various other bands, including Gallows, Black Lungs, Pig Pen, and his solo project Dooms Children. MacNeil has featured as a guest vocalist for songs by various other artists, including "St. Andrews" by Bedouin Soundclash, "Deathsmarch" by Cancer Bats (also appearing in the song's video), "Widower" by Johnny Truant, "The Gre(A)t Depression" by Anti-Flag and "She Upon the Black Wolf" by The Banner. George Pettit
George Frederick Douglas Pettit (born October 2, 1982) is a Canadian musician best known as the lead vocalist of the post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. He is also currently active as the vocalist of Dead Tired. Biography Pettit grew up in Grimsby, Ontario. He attended Lakeview Public School for his elementary years, then Grimsby Secondary School where he became involved in the local music scene. At the age of 17 Pettit, joined by friends Dallas Green, Wade MacNeil, Chris Steele, and Jesse Ingelevics formed Alexisonfire. According to Pettit, he had a choice of going to art school or being in the band before the first tour. Pettit ultimately chose Alexisonfire which would later gain worldwide recognition. Jordan Hastings
Jordan "Ratbeard" Michael Hastings (born March 15, 1982) is a Canadian musician born in Hamilton, Ontario. He is best known as the drummer of Alexisonfire, having replaced their former drummer Jesse Ingelevics. Cunter (formerly known as Hunter) is a five-piece hardcore punk Supergroup (music), supergroup from Brampton, Ontario whose members are from Moneen, Alexisonfire, BWC Studios and The Abandoned Hearts Club. The band motto is "All intensity, all the time," and they are known for short, ferociously intense songs. History Kenny Bridges and Erik Hughes are members of Moneen, which is a rock band. Hughes, Bridges told an interviewer, "has a great scream" and they, along with BWC Studios producer Greg Dawson, mused about starting a punk rock band, as a side project. On November 1, 2009, Bridges called Dawson to say that they should go ahead, and found that Dawson had already written nine songs. Bridges wrote the tenth; Hughes wrote the lyrics in one evening. Billy Talent is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Mississauga, Ontario. They formed in 1993 with lead vocalist Benjamin Kowalewicz, guitarist Ian D'Sa, bassist Jonathan Gallant, and drummer Aaron Solowoniuk. There have been no lineup changes, although Solowoniuk has been on hiatus from the band since 2016 due to a relapse of multiple sclerosis.
