Alexandru Cicâldău
Alexandru Cicâldău (; born 8 July 1997) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liga I club Universitatea Craiova and the Romania national team. Cicâldău started his senior career at Viitorul Constanța, and in the summer of 2018 transferred to Universitatea Craiova. He totalled over 100 games in the league championship and won two domestic trophies with the latter, before moving abroad to Galatasaray for an initial €6.5 million fee in 2021. Following loans to Ittihad Kalba and Konyaspor, Cicâldau was bought back by Universitatea Craiova in 2024. Internationally, Cicâldau registered his full debut for Romania in a 2–1 friendly defeat of Israel in March 2018. He represented the country in the UEFA Euro 2024. Mircea Vodă is a commune in Constanța County, Northern Dobruja, Romania. It is located in the central part of the county, along the Danube–Black Sea Canal. Demographics At the 2011 census, Mircea Vodă had a population of 4,886; of those, 4,727 were Romanians (99.24%), 28 Roma (0.59%), 6 Turks (0.13%), and 2 others (0.04%). The 2018 Supercupa României was the 20th edition of the Supercupa României, the annual super cup in Romania. The game was contested by the winners of the previous season's 2017–18 Liga I, Liga I and 2017–18 Cupa României, Cupa României competitions, CFR Cluj and CS Universitatea Craiova, Universitatea Craiova respectively. It was played at the Stadionul Ion Oblemenco, Ion Oblemenco Stadium in Craiova, on 14 July 2018. The 2017–18 Liga I (also known as Liga 1 Betano for sponsorship reasons) was the 100th season of the Liga I, the top professional league for Romanian association football clubs. The season began on 14 July 2017 and ended on 2 June 2018, being the third to take place since the play-off/play-out format has been introduced. Defending champions Viitorul Constanța came fourth. CFR Cluj became the new champions in the last fixture of the play-off, clinching their fourth league title after finishing one point above FCSB. Juventus București and Sepsi OSK entered as the promoted teams from the 2016–17 Liga II, but only the latter managed to avoid relegation.
