Alexander Samarin
Alexander Vladimirovich Samarin (; born 15 June 1998) is a retired Russian figure skater. He is the 2019 European Figure Skating Championships, 2019 European silver medalist, the 2019 Internationaux de France silver medalist, the 2017 Skate Canada International bronze medalist, the 2018 Internationaux de France bronze medalist, and a four-time 2017 Russian Figure Skating Championships, 2017 Russian national medalist (silver in 2017 and 2018, bronze in 2019, bronze in 2020). He has won three medals on the ISU Challenger Series, including gold at the 2015 CS Warsaw Cup. As a junior, Samarin won bronze at the 2017 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, 2017 World Junior Championships and silver at the 2016–17 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, 2016–17 Junior Grand Prix Final, in addition to three gold medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series. The Channel One Trophy, or the Channel One Cup (), is a Russian domestic team figure skating competition organized by the Russian Figure Skating Federation and the Channel One television channel. Young Pioneers Stadium
The Young Pioneers Stadium () was a sports complex built in the Soviet Union, intended exclusively for children and youth training, the largest in Europe of this kind. It was located in Moscow. First built at the location in 1926 was a football stadium named after Mikhail Tomsky, used by FC Pishcheviki Moscow that had room for 13,000 spectators. Many other sports buildings were built around the stadium as part of a complex from 1932 to 1934 and included two volleyball grounds, five tennis courts, a cycling track, an indoor ice skating rink, as well as several indoor gyms and choreography halls. Besides that, an ''Indoor Athletics Area'' was built there in 1968. The 2014–15 ISU Junior Grand Prix was the 18th season of a series of junior international competitions organized by the International Skating Union. It was the junior-level complement to the 2014–15 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. At each event, skaters also earned points toward qualifying for the final. Elena Buianova
Elena Germanovna Buianova (, née Vodorezova, Водорезова; born 21 May 1963) is a Russian figure skating coach and retired competitive skater who represented the Soviet Union. She is the 1983 World bronze medalist and three-time European medalist. Career Vodorezova was coached by Stanislav Zhuk at the Armed Forces sports society in Moscow. A gifted free-skater, she represented her country at the 1976 Winter Olympics aged just 12. She was the first skater to complete a double flip-triple toe loop combination. She was noted for a spectacularly high double Axel and fast spins. She won the bronze medal at the 1978 European Championships; it was the first time a Soviet ladies' single skater had won a medal at the event. She missed the 1979–1981 seasons completely due to severe juvenile arthritis, which prevented her from even walking for months in 1979. The 2013 World Junior Figure Skating Championships was an international figure skating competition in the 2012–13 season. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. The event was held in Milan, Italy from 25 February to 3 March 2013.
