Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV
The Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV is a battery electric single-deck bus produced by the British bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis in partnership with Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD Auto since 2015. Design An electric variant of the diesel integral Alexander Dennis Enviro200 MMC, which had been launched that same year to replace the outgoing Enviro200 and Enviro300, the first-generation Enviro200EV launched in 2015 utilises BYD's own chassis and drivetrain and has a range of up to 160 miles with a recharge time of 3.5 hours. A shorter variant was subsequently added to the range in 2016. The lithium iron phosphate batteries of the first-generation Enviro200EV are stored on the roof of the bus. From the beginning of production, the battery store was arranged in a 'pod' layout, which was replaced in 2020 by a revised and more aerodynamic arrangement that removed the need for the 'pod'. Single-deck Bus
A single-decker bus or rigid is a bus that has a single deck for passengers. Normally the use of the term ''single-decker'' refers to a standard two-axled rigid bus, in direct contrast to the use of the term double-decker bus, which is essentially a bus with two passenger decks and a staircase. These types of single-deckers may feature one or more doors, and varying internal combustion engine positions. The majority of single-deckers have a length of up to , although some exceptions of longer buses exist. They also typically weigh between . In regions where double-deckers are not common, the term ''single-decker'' may lack common usage, as in one sense, all other main types of bus have a single deck. Also, the term may become synonymous with the name transit bus or related terms, which can correctly be applied to double-deckers too. With the exception of regions of major double deck or articulated bus operation, usually major urban areas such as Bus services in Hong Kong, Hon ... Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxides
Lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxides (abbreviated NMC, Li-NMC, LNMC, or NCM) are mixed metal oxides of lithium, nickel, manganese and cobalt with the general formula LiNi''x''Mn''y''Co''1-x-y''O2. These materials are commonly used in lithium-ion batteries for mobile devices and electric vehicles, acting as the positively charged cathode. There is a particular interest in optimizing NMC for electric vehicle applications because of the material's high energy density and operating voltage. Reducing the cobalt content in NMC is also a current target, due to metal's high cost. Furthermore, an increased nickel content provides more capacity within the stable operation window. Structure NMC materials have layered structures similar to the individual metal oxide compound lithium cobalt oxide (LiCoO2). Lithium ions intercalate between the layers upon discharging, remaining between the lattice planes until the battery gets charged, at which point the lithium de-intercalates and moves ...
