Alexander J. Huntley (born October 8, 2001) is an American professional football defensive tackle for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks. Early life and high school Alexander Huntley was born on October 8, 2001 in Blythewood, South Carolina. He attended the private Hammond school, and played Skyhawk basketball, lacrosse, track & field, and football. In football, he played on both offense and defense on a team that won three straight South Carolina Independent School Association AAA titles. He also won state championships in shot put and lacrosse, and was elected the student body president. In his senior year, Hutley played in the Army All-American Bowl, and 247 sports ranked him as the 20th best defensive tackle in the country and the 4th best player in South Carolina, rating him as a four star prospect. A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that typically lines up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the Guard (American football), offensive guards; however, he may also line up opposite one of the offensive Tackle (gridiron football position), tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. The South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) is a school accrediting organization. It was founded in South Carolina in 1965 to legitimize segregation academies. History SCISA was founded on August 10, 1965 with seven member schools and provided organizational support to new segregation academies similar to that provided by White Citizens Councils in Mississippi, and had already founded 26 segregation academies by the spring of 1966.
