Alex Hale
Alex Hale (born July 3, 1998) is an Australian professional American football placekicker for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Early life and high school Hale was born in and grew up in Gosford, New South Wales, Australia. After graduating from high school, Hale decided to move to the United States to pursue American football, committing to play college football for the Oklahoma State Cowboys as a walk-on. College career In Hale's first two seasons in 2018 and 2019, Hale redshirted and appeared in just two games where he kicked off five times. Before the 2020 Bedlam match up, Hale tore his ACL in pregame workouts, causing him to miss the rest of the season. In gridiron football, the placekicker (PK), or simply kicker (K), is the player responsible for attempts at scoring Field goal (football), field goals and extra points. In most cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist. The term derives from the attempted scorer kicking the ball "from placement" of a teammate holding the ball rather than by individually drop-kicking the ball through the goal posts.
