Alex Davies (snooker Player)
Alex Davies (born 27 July 1987) is an English former professional snooker player from Holland-on-Sea in Essex. He is the youngest person ever to win the English Amateur Championship, in 2003. Davies began his professional career by playing Challenge Tour (snooker), Challenge Tour in 2003, at the time the second-level professional tour. Davies was on the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association, WPBSA Main Tour for the 2007–08 snooker season, 2007–08 season, but dropped off. In May 2013, he returned to the main tour by winning five matches at the first event of the 2013 Q School concluding with a 4–1 win over Mitchell Travis to earn a place on the tour for the 2013–14 snooker season, 2013–14 and 2014–15 snooker season, 2014–15 season. 2013 Indian Open
The 2013 Indian Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament held between 14 and 18 October 2013, at the Le Meridien Hotel in New Delhi, India. It was the first ranking event held in India, and the fourth ranking event of the 2013/2014 season. Ding Junhui won his eighth ranking title by defeating Aditya Mehta 5–0 in the final. Ding became the first player to win two consecutive ranking titles in the same season since Ronnie O'Sullivan in 2002/2003, who won the 2003 European Open and the 2003 Irish Masters. The 2015 BAIC Motor China Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament, that took place between 30 March and 5 April 2015 at the Beijing University Students' Gymnasium in Beijing, China. It was the tenth ranking event of the 2014–15 season. Ding Junhui was the defending champion, but he lost 5–6 against Gary Wilson in the semi-finals. Mark Selby defeated Wilson 10–2 to win his sixth career ranking title, his second of the season, and his first China Open title after being twice runner-up (in 2011 and 2013). Tom Ford (snooker Player)
Tom Ford (born 17 August 1983) is an English professional snooker player from Leicester. Turning professional in 2001, Ford won his first ranking event at the 2024 Snooker Shoot Out. Ford has reached three further ranking finals - the 2016 Paul Hunter Classic, the 2023 German Masters and the 2023 International Championship. 2015 Welsh Open (snooker)
The 2015 Welsh Open (officially the 2015 BetVictor Welsh Open) was a professional ranking snooker tournament held at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff from 16 to 22 February 2015. The tournament was staged in Cardiff for the first time since 2004, having moved from Newport. Ronnie O'Sullivan was the defending champion, but he lost 3–4 against Matthew Stevens in the last 32. The best-performing Welsh player was Mark Williams, who reached the semi-finals of the tournament for the first time in 12 years. 2014 UK Championship
The 2014 UK Championship (officially the 2014 Coral UK Championship) was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place between 25 November and 7 December 2014 at the Barbican Centre in York, England. It was the fifth ranking event of the 2014/2015 season. Neil Robertson was the defending champion, but he lost 5–6 against Graeme Dott in the last 16. This result led to Ding Junhui becoming the first Asian player to reach the world number one ranking. Ronnie O'Sullivan won his fifth UK Championship and his 27th ranking title by defeating Judd Trump 10–9 in the final. Mark Anthony Selby (born 19 June 1983) is an English professional snooker player. Aditya Mehta
Aditya Mehta (born 31 October 1985) is an Indian former professional snooker player. He participated on the World Snooker Tour for the 2007–08 season, and between 2011 and 2018. He reached a highest world ranking of 49. Mehta participated in the final of a ranking event for the first time at the 2013 Indian Open where he played Ding Junhui, but lost 0–5. Mehta has several medals at the Asian and World Games. He won the gold at the men's event at the 2013 World Games, and the team event at the 2009 Asian Games. Liang Wenbo
Liang Wenbo ( zh, s=梁文博; born 5 March 1987) is a Chinese former professional snooker player. During his playing career, he won one ranking title at the 2016 English Open, twice won the World Cup for China in 2011 and 2017 with teammate Ding Junhui, and was runner-up at the 2009 Shanghai Masters and the 2015 UK Championship. He made 292 century breaks in professional competition, including three maximum breaks, and reached a career high of 11th in the snooker world rankings. Anthony McGill
Anthony McGill (born 5 February 1991) is a Scottish professional snooker player. He is a practice partner of retired snooker player Alan McManus. McGill turned professional in 2010, after finishing fourth in the 2009/2010 PIOS rankings. He won the 2016 Indian Open, after having previously never been beyond the quarter-final stage of a ranking event. Peter Lines
Peter Lines (born 11 December 1969) is an English former professional snooker player. He has reached the semi-finals of one ranking tournament, the 2018 Paul Hunter Classic. He reached his highest ranking, 42nd in the world, in 1999. He is the father of professional snooker player Oliver Lines. In January 2022, he won the 2022 UK Seniors Championship, part of the World Seniors Tour. Career Lines turned professional in 1991, and in his debut season reached the last 32 stage twice, at the 1992 Strachan Open and the 1992 Asian Open (snooker), Asian Open.
