Alessio Boggiatto (born 18 December 1981) is a former Italian medley swimmer. Biography Born at Moncalieri Moncalieri (; ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) of 56,134 inhabitants (31 January 2022) about directly south of downtown Turin (to whose Metropolitan City of Turin, Metropolitan City it belongs), in Piedmont, Italy. Medley swimming is a combination of four different swimming (sport), swimming strokes (Freestyle swimming, freestyle (usually front crawl), backstroke, breaststroke, Butterfly stroke, butterfly) into one race. This race is either swum by one swimmer as individual medley (IM) or by four swimmers as a medley relay. Individual medley Individual medley consists of a single swimmer swimming equal distances of the four strokes within one race. Stroke order Individual medley consists of four strokes. These four strokes go in an order by Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and finally Freestyle. The swimmer will swim one quarter of the race in each style, in a certain order. Chiara Boggiatto (born 17 February 1986 in Moncalieri, province of Turin, Turin) is an Italian Breaststroke swimming, breaststroke swimmer. She was several times finalist in European and World Championship swimming 200 m breaststroke and relays. She participated for Italy at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Great Britain. She is a sibling of Alessio Boggiatto, a world class medley swimmer.
