Black Rose Is An Emblem Of Sorrow, Red Rose Is An Emblem Of Love
Black is a color that results from the absence or complete absorption of visible light. It is an achromatic color, without chroma, like white and grey. It is often used symbolically or figuratively to represent darkness.Eva Heller, ''Psychologie de la couleur – effets et symboliques'', pp. 105–26. Black and white have often been used to describe opposites such as good and evil, the Dark Ages versus the Age of Enlightenment, and night versus day. Since the Middle Ages, black has been the symbolic color of solemnity and authority, and for this reason it is still commonly worn by judges and magistrates. Black was one of the first colors used by artists in Neolithic cave paintings. It was used in ancient Egypt and Greece as the color of the underworld. In the Roman Empire, it became the color of mourning, and over the centuries it was frequently associated with death, evil, witches, and magic. In the 14th century, it was worn by royalty, clergy, judges, and government o ...

Plot On the first day of the cold spring of 1953, two events occur, though they are not comparable in importance: Fireman Fedya Aramyshev is arrested, and "the greatest leader of all times and peoples," Joseph Stalin, is found lying on the floor of his dacha. Some time before these incidents, we see events from the life of General Yuri Klensky, who serves in the military-medical service. In the Soviet Union, the ''Doctors' plot'', in which a group of predominantly Jewish doctors is accused of conspiring to kill Stalin, is in full swing. Klensky, himself Jewish, attempts to console himself with near-constant drunkenness, hoping that Soviet justice will not reach him. However, a series of events suggests that Klensky's hopes are futile, and that his arrest is imminent. In an early s ...

A screenwriter (also called scriptwriter, scribe, or scenarist) is a person who practices the craft of writing for visual mass media, known as screenwriting. These can include short films, feature-length films, television programs, television commercials, video games, and the growing area of online web series. Terminology In the silent era, screenwriters were denoted by terms such as photoplaywright, photoplay writer, photoplay dramatist, and screen playwright.Maras, Steven. ''Screenwriting: History, Theory and Practice'', Wallflower Press, 2009, pp. 82–85. Screenwriting historian Steven Maras notes that these early writers were often understood as being the authors of the films as shown, and argues that they could not be precisely equated with present-day screenwriters because they were responsible for a technical product, a brief "Film scenario, scenario", "treatment", or "synopsis" that is a written synopsis of what is to be filmed. Profession Screenwriting is a contra ...

Down House (film)
''Down House'' () is a 2001 Russian comedy-gross-out film by Roman Kachanov, a modern interpretation of the 1869 novel ''The Idiot'' by Fyodor Dostoevsky. The film received the Special Jury Prize at Kinotavr. Premise The plot is set in modern Moscow, probably in the second half of the 1990s, with " New Russians", Hummer H1 jeeps, bribery, violence, truckfuls of tinned stew as a dowry, and so on. The film is quite far from the novel's subject, but still keeps to the main storyline. It features Fyodor Bondarchuk as Myshkin, and a soundtrack by DJ Groove, one of the most popular Russian DJs (who appears in the film as a taxi driver). In Russian, ''Даун'' (Down) primarily refers to a person with Down syndrome, or, colloquially, to anyone retarded or just stupid, so it is similar to Idiot; while ''Хаус'' (House) refers to House music, which is used extensively in the film. The name is also a reference to the tendency of Russian subcultures such as businessmen, hackers a ...

Sisters (2001 Film)
A sister is a woman or a girl who shares parents or a parent with another individual; a female sibling. The male counterpart is a brother. Although the term typically refers to a familial relationship, it is sometimes used endearingly to refer to non-familial relationships. A full sister is a first-degree relative. Overview The English word ''sister'' comes from Old Norse which itself derives from Proto-Germanic ''*swestēr'', both of which have the same meaning, i.e. sister. Some studies have found that sisters display more traits indicating jealousy around their siblings than their male counterparts, brothers. In some cultures, sisters are afforded a role of being under the protection by male siblings, especially older brothers, from issues ranging from bullies or sexual advances by womanizers. In some quarters, the term ''sister'' has gradually broadened its colloquial meaning to include individuals stipulating kinship. In response, in order to avoid equivocation, some p ...
