Aleksandar Karakašević
Aleksandar Karakašević ( sr-cyr, Александар Каракашевић; born 9 December 1975) is a Serbian table tennis player. His powerful backhand has helped him win against some of the top players in the world. He won a bronze medal at the 2011 Table Tennis European Championships, European Championship. One of his greatest results achieved in USA is his victory at the US Open Championship in July 2007, where he established himself as a world class athlete, winning the tournament title for the 3rd time by defeating Kurashima Yosuke from Japan with the result of 4:0. In 2020 at the age of 45 he was still playing in Bundesliga (table tennis), German Bundesliga (first German division) representing TTC Zugbrücke Grenzau. Milivoj Karakašević (30 July 1948 – 26 March 2022) was a Serbian international table tennis player who competed for Yugoslavia in the 1970s and 1980s. Table tennis career With the Yugoslav men's team, he won gold at the 1976 European Championships. In addition he won two silver medals and three bronze medals; in 1970 and 1972, he won silver in the team event and in 1974 and 1982, he won bronze, while he also won bronze in doubles in 1978 with Zoran Kosanović. Bundesliga()is the top league in the German table tennis league system. The first Bundesliga was held in the 1966-67 season with 8 teams. Since then the Bundesliga has been held every season with a varying number of teams. In the 2024-25 season, 12 teams will participate in Bundesliga. Current Rules A season is divided into two phases: the Rankings and the Playoffs.
