Aleksa Nikolić
Aleksa Nikolić ( sr-cyr, Алекса Николић; born March 31, 1995), is a Serbian professional basketball player who last played for Juventus Utena of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). He played college basketball for the Marshall Thundering Herd. Standing , he can play both guard positions, as well as small forward. College career Nikolić played for the Marshall Thundering Herd of the Conference USA (NCAA Division I) from 2014 to 2017. Nikolić appeared in all 32 games, including 25 starts in the 2014–15 season. He averaged 5.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game during the regular season. In 2015–16 season, he appeared in the first two games of the year before suffering a season-ending injury at Morehead State on November 24, 2015, which required facial surgery. Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL; ), also known as Betsafe LKL for sponsorship reasons, is the premier men's professional club basketball league in Lithuania. It is composed of 10 teams, and it is a member of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The Austrian Basketball Superliga (English: Basketball Super League) is the highest tier basketball league in Austria. 2016–17 Marshall Thundering Herd Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball team represented Marshall University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Thundering Herd, led by third-year head coach Dan D'Antoni, played their home games at the Cam Henderson Center and were members of Conference USA. They finished the season 20–15, 10–8 in C-USA play to finish in sixth place. They defeated Florida Atlantic, Old Dominion, and Louisiana Tech to advance to the championship game of the C-USA tournament. There they lost to top-seeded Middle Tennessee. Despite finishing with 20 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament.
