Aldona (or Aldonã) is a village that lies in the Bardez taluka of the Indian coastal state of Goa. It is known for producing several prominent Goans personalities. Maria Isabel de Santa Rita Vás is an Indian author, playwright, theatre director and teacher. She is the founder of the Mustard Seed Art Company (an amateur theatre group from Goa) and has been associated from its inception with the Positive People (an NGO that spreads awareness on HIV/AIDS and provides support to its victims). Rosario Alfred Fernandes (5 August 1932 − 21 October 2003), known professionally as Alfred Rose, was an Indian Konkani singer, composer, and actor. Ucassaim is a village in Bardez, in the west coastal region of Goa. It is located close to Mapusa town and is known as the home for some prominent persons from the area. Mapusa River
Mapusa River (Rio de Mapuça) is one of the main tributaries of the River Mandovi in Goa, India. The river originates from the jungles of Dumacem and Amthane, meanders eastward and then southward before it drains itself in the Mandovi river at Penha de France. Filipe Neri António Sebastião do Rosário Ferrão (born 20 January 1953) is an Indian Catholic prelate who has served as Archbishop of Goa and Daman since 2004.
