Álvaro Alcalá-Galiano y Osma (Madrid, 29 April 1886–28 July 1936) was a Spanish writer, literary critic, historian, and journalist, frequent contributor to newspaper ''ABC'' and magazine '. As a monarchist, he was influenced by Charles Maurras. While he was pro- Allied during the First World War, his writings later extolled Italian fascism and spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories and a strong anti-communism sentiment. Dionisio Alcalá Galiano
Dionisio Alcalá Galiano (8 October 1760 – 21 October 1805) was a Spanish Navy officer, cartographer, and explorer. He mapped various coastlines in Europe and the Americas with unprecedented accuracy using new technology such as chronometers. He commanded an expedition that explored and mapped the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Strait of Georgia, and made the first European circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. He reached the rank of brigadier and died during the Battle of Trafalgar. He sometimes signed his full surname, Alcalá-Galiano, but often used just Galiano. Juan Valera y Alcalá-Galiano (18 October 1824 – 18 April 1905) was a Spanish realist author, diplomat, and politician. Life He was born at Cabra, in the province of Córdoba, and was educated at Málaga and at the University of Granada, where he took his degree in law, and then entered upon a diplomatic career (1847). Over five decades, Valera filled a number of positions in a variety of places. He accompanied the Spanish Ambassador to Naples. Antonio Alcalá Galiano y Fernández de Villavicencio, (22 July 1789, Cádiz – 11 April 1865, Madrid) was a Spanish politician and writer who served as Minister of the Navy (1836) and Ministry of Public Works and Transport (Spain), Minister of Public Works (1865).
