Albinia is a locality in the Central Highlands Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Albinia had a population of 112 people. Geography The western part of the locality is mountainous with individual peaks such as Mount Hope at and Mount Kelman at . The eastern part of the locality falls toward the east to elevations of . The Mount Hope State Forest is in the western part of the locality including the mountain itself. A number of creeks flow from west to east across the locality including Albinia Creek. These creeks are tributaries of the Comet River and ultimately contribute to the Fitzroy River which flows into the Coral Sea. The large Rolleston coal mine is operated by Glencore Coal in the centre of the locality. The mine is supported by a number of dams and other infrastructure. Fitzroy River (Queensland)
The Fitzroy River ( Darumbal: ''Toonooba'') is a river located in Central Queensland, Australia. Its catchment covers an area of , making it the largest river catchment flowing to the eastern coast of Australia. It is also the largest river basin that discharges onto the Great Barrier Reef. Course and features Formed by the confluence of the Mackenzie and Dawson rivers that drain the Expedition Range and the Carnarvon Range respectively, the Fitzroy River rises near Duaringa and flows initially north by east, then northward near the Goodedulla National Park. Port Essington
Port Essington is an inlet and historic site located on the Cobourg Peninsula in the Garig Gunak Barlu National Park in Australia's Northern Territory. It was the site of an early attempt at British settlement, but now exists only as a remote series of ruins. Moreton Bay
Moreton Bay is a bay located on the eastern coast of Australia from central Brisbane, Queensland. It is one of Queensland's most important coastal resources. The waters of Moreton Bay are a popular destination for recreational anglers and are used by commercial operators who provide seafood to market. The Port of Brisbane coordinates large traffic along the shipping channel which crosses the northern section of the bay. The bay serves as a safe approach to the airport and reduces noise pollution over the city to the west of the runway. A number of barge, ferry and water-taxi services also travel over the bay. The Dawson Highway is a state highway in Queensland, Australia. It runs for between Gladstone and Springsure where it terminates. From Gladstone to Rolleston it is signed as State Route 60, and then A7 onwards to Springsure. It continues west for another as Dawson Developmental Road to Tambo on the Landsborough Highway. Blackwater Railway System
The Blackwater railway system is located in Central Queensland and services the coal mining area of the Bowen Basin. It carries coal, as well as products, to other destinations by way of connections to the North Coast Line at Rocklands and the Goonyella Line via Gregory coal mine to Oaky Creek. Together with the Moura line the two railway systems are known as the Capricornia Coal Chain. The Blackwater system is narrow gauge and electrified using 25 kV 50 Hz. The system is used by both electric and diesel locomotives. The Blackwater system has the largest route length of the four coal systems and carries the second highest tonnages on the QR network, after the Goonyella system. Coral Sea
The Coral Sea () is a marginal sea of the South Pacific off the northeast coast of Australia, and classified as an interim Australian bioregion. The Coral Sea extends down the Australian northeast coast. Comet River
The Comet River is a river located in Central Queensland, Australia. Geography Formed by the confluence of the Brown River and Clematis Creek, the Comet River rises in the Expedition Range, north of Expedition National Park and south of Rolleston. The river flows north, joined by seventeen tributaries, and splits as an anabranch on multiple occasions. The river flows through the Teatree Waterhole and Comet towards its confluence with the Nogoa River to form the Mackenzie River. The river descends over its course.
