Albina Kelmendi
Albina Kelmendi (; born 27 January 1998) is a Kosovo-Albanian singer and songwriter. She rose to fame after placing as the runner-up on the fourth series of ''The Voice of Albania'' in 2014. Kelmendi and her family represented Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song " Duje". Early life Albina Kelmendi was born in Pejë, Kosovo (then part of FR Yugoslavia). She studied clarinet and piano at the Halit Kasapolli music school in her hometown, and started performing together with her family under the name Family Band. Career 2014–2021: ''The Voice of Albania'' and Top Fest In 2014, she auditioned for the fourth series of ''The Voice of Albania''. Peja or Peć, ), is the fifth most populous city in Kosovo and serves as the seat of the Peja Municipality and the District of Peja. Albania has been represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 21 times since its debut in . ''Top Fest'' was an Albanian music competition organised by Top Channel. It began airing in 2004 with its last edition being in 2015. The event was annually held in Tirana, Albania. The songs were usually performed in Albanian with artists from Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and other Albanian-speaking territories. From its 7th edition (2010), the participants performed their entries 100% live. Format Since 2010, the show has been split into three phases. "Unchain My Heart" is a song written by Bobby Sharp and recorded first in 1961 by Ray Charles and in 1963 by Trini Lopez and later by many others. Sharp sold the song to Teddy Powell for $50.
