Alberto Alvarado Arámburo
Alberto Andrés Alvarado Arámburo (4 February 1925 – 14 February 1996) was a Mexican politician who served as the Governor of Baja California Sur from 1981 to 1987. A member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), he succeeded his cousin, Angel César Mendoza Arámburo, as governor. He also served as a Senate of the Republic (Mexico), Senator and a Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), federal deputy. He was shot and killed in Mexico City in 1996 during an attempted robbery. There is a locality in Mulegé Municipality named after him. The governor is the chief executive of the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. The present governor is Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío of National Regeneration Movement , Morena, who took office on September 10, 2021. Mulegé Municipality
Mulegé is the northernmost municipalities of Mexico, municipality of the Mexico, Mexican States of Mexico, state of Baja California Sur. It is the largest municipality by area in Mexico, with an area of 33,092.20 km2 (12,777 sq mi). In the 2020 Census, it had a population of 64,022 inhabitants.
